Emma & Rob Wedding

The weather certainly did not dampen the day for Emma & Rob who got married in the beautiful market town of Helmsley. It was my first visit to the brilliant Feathers Hotel and I hope it wont be my last.

Emma got ready with her bridesmaids in one of the hotel annex rooms and was then led under umbrellas across to the hotel to meet her groom Rob and the guests for a lovely ceremony.

Everyone then mingled in the venue to enjoy canapés and drinks whilst I whisked some guests outside for group photos under cover before everyone was then seated for brilliant speeches and food.

During the food Emma & Rob joined me in between mains and puddings to take advantage of a very small window of dry weather and a walk around Helmsley for couples photos before dark.

They then go to dry off and let the evening party commence.

Emma told me that a rainy wedding is a sign of a lasting marriage, since a wet knot is harder to untie. I hope this is true and you enjoy a lifetime of happiness together, many thanks for asking me to capture your day.

Congratulations to the new Mr & Mrs Illingworth.
