Helen & Nigel had a wonderful wedding at Burythorpe House in July. From the very first meeting it became obvious that Helen wanted an outdoor ceremony in the beautiful gardens.

Roll on to the morning of the wedding and with rain showers forecast, a decision was made to go for it and it paid off big style.

The day started with bridal prep in the Jervaulx room with Helen and her two daughters and I had the chance to photograph Nigel with his best man too as they prepared for the big day.

The outdoor ceremony was everything Helen had wanted it to be, with guests sat either side of the paved walkway from the hotel as bride & groom tied the knot in the pagoda.

Once the ceremony was finished the weather stayed fine long enough for drinks and group photos outside before being called in for food in the priory restaurant.

2022 has been a season of emotional speeches and this wedding was no different after amazing speeches from Helens daughter, Nigel’s best man and Helen herself all bringing tears to the room.

I took a walk with the newleyweds after food and they then joined their guests in the new function room at the hotel to dance the night away.
